These brownies are easy, moist, and so good. They taste best one day old.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Creamy Brownie Frosting (Recipe follows)
Directions: Heat oven to 350. Grease a 9x9 baking pan. Set aside. Mix together butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs in a medium mixing bowl. Beat well. In a separate bowl, stir flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt together. Gradually add to moist mixture. Beat until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake for about 20 minutes--until brownie begins to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely. Frost with Creamy Brownie frosting. Cut into squares.
