Herbed Croutons

3 Tablespoons oil (regular olive oil is recommended)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Rosemary (2 teaspoons fresh, minced, OR 1/2 teaspoon dried)
Thyme, sage, or dill (2 teaspoons fresh, minced, OR 1/2 teaspoon dried)
4 cups bread cubes (cut into 1/2 inch cubes)

Adjust oven rack to center of the oven and heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and other herbs together in a large bowl. Add bread cubes and toss until throughly coated. Spread onto a baking sheet and bake until golden brown, probably 20 to 25 minutes. Allow croûtons to cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container.

If you'd like traditional croûtons instead, just omit the rosemary and thyme, sage or dill.
